We start with a call to talk about you! Your website should be as unique as your business so lets discuss your goals, your vision, and any specific features or functionalities you want on your website.

 

The right ‘fit’ is important for any successful relationship, and working with the right web designer for your business is no different. If we are a good match, we move on to the next step:

 

Proposal & Agreement

Based on our conversation, I will send a proposal outlining the scope of work, timeline, and cost.  Once agreed upon, we get to work!

 

Sitemap & Wireframe Phase

With the scope well-defined, I can start creating the sitemap and wireframe. Think of it as the blueprint for your website, outlining the structure and organizing the content of your website (how will the different pages and sections will be connected and arranged).

 

Content Collection & Creation

Now that we have a bigger picture of the site in mind, we can start collecting and/or creating content (text, images, logos, etc) for the individual pages.

 

Design Phase

I’ll create a visual representation (a mockup) of your website's design. Depending on the client, I’ll either create a visual style from the ground up, or work with the brand guidelines already in place.

 

Development

Once the design is approved, I will start building the actual website. We will be in close communication throughout the process and adjustments during this phase.

 

Testing

It's time to make sure it all works. We test the website for functionality, responsiveness, and make sure all links work and resolve any issues before moving to the next step.

 

Launch

Once everything's working smoothly, it's time to launch your site and let the world know!

 

Maintenance & Updates

As the final step in the process, we make sure your website stays current and effective. I'll guide you through the steps to update and maintain your site yourself, or alternatively, we can discuss how I can handle this aspect for you.
